In 2023, a client had the vision of lighting up the roof of a shopping centre with RGB colour-changing lights and came to us to help manifest it.

Due to the sheer size of the roof, the first challenge was that it would require many lights to illuminate the building… 15,000 RGB LEDs!

The second challenge was that all 15,000 lights would need to change colour and function at the same time.

The existing controllers on the market were not equipped to achieve this. The most a controller could handle was 2,000 RGB LEDs, which would mean the client would need 8 controllers for the project! When you use multiple controllers, the lights may not change colour or function at the same time. With the vision we all had in mind, this was not an option – the lights would need to move seamlessly from one colour and function to another.

After an initial discussion with our client, we went to our factory to discuss with our engineer a way around our challenge and we started to develop a bespoke controller which could meet the capacity we had in mind. The client also hoped to change the program sequence from the existing controller and create a bespoke length of time for each program.

Our engineer spent four weeks creating a sample for a brand-new controller which we tested in the UK for a further two weeks. After passing our testing process, we were delighted to find our new product worked extremely well, and could cope with the massive task we had in mind. We began production and fulfilled the order in time for Christmas.

The client was delighted, as the lights worked exactly as he requested them to, and we were so pleased to complete another customized lighting project, in time and in-style.

If you have any ideas to light up your building, whether it is a shopping centre or corporate building, we can offer bespoke solution to turn your ideas into reality. There is no limit for Inno-Lite. We would like to take any challenge.
