Welcome to a sparkling new year at Inno-Lite! The crispy -2℃ mornings on the way to the office sparked a memory amongst our team.
A few years ago, we were approached by a customer with a bold creative vision… 3D miniature light motif imitations of the Truro Cathedral!
The real Truro Cathedral took 30 years to be built. With a lead time in mind, we worked swiftly with our UK fabricator to design and build a replica motif in 0.5% of the time – 8 short weeks.
We followed the full specification of the Truro Cathedral, with our intricate designs first laid out by our fabricator on a piece of drawing paper. With the proposed miniature size finalised, we closely discussed the lighting requirements and other decorative materials and then, with approval from our client and the deadline looming, the fabricator began to make the different sections of frames and we built the bespoke lights in our factory.
With excitement building, 6 weeks later we supplied the finished 3D light cathedral motif to our client where it was installed at Trafalgar roundabout in Truro city.
This was a phenomenally exciting project where we had the opportunity to test both our creative and practical qualities as a company.
When the day came for the replica cathedral to be switched on, our client, the local public and our wonderful Inno-Lite team were so pleased. The stunning architecture, paired with the glorious Christmas lights boosted the festive spirit. In 2020, at a time when the world was uncertain, the reliability and success of this project brought joy, stability, and beauty to us all.
